Prologis delivered a 61,550 square meter build-to-suit for brewer Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma - Heineken México. The brewer is using the build-to-suit, located in Prologis Park Agua Fría, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon as its new macro distribution center.

Prologis and Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma - Heineken México’s construction of the distribution center brought an investment totaling over $500 million pesos to the northern state. “We are pleased to have developed this important project”, said Luis Gutiérrez, President, Prologis Latin America. “This macro distribution center will become a strategic asset for Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma-Heineken Mexico, offering an ideal location and the highest international standards, which will result in the consolidation and increased efficiency of its operations.”

This project, which means the consolidation of the brewer’s operations in the metropolitan area of the northern region of Mexico, is comprised by a state of the art 61,550 square meter property, which hosts a national distribution and export center, including over 300 vehicles in operation daily. “The Mexican market is one of our strongest, most important commitments, through which we will continue our investment strategy and subsequent job creation in several states of Mexico”, said in turn Dolf van den Brink, CEO, Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma-Heineken Mexico. “Such a distribution center is a strategic asset for Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma - Heineken Mexico”.

The facility was built according to the highest international standards in terms of design and specifications. “As strategic partners for these kinds of projects, we are proud to contribute to the growth of the Mexican economy and to the attraction of both national and international investments”, concluded Luis Gutiérrez.
