With a population of 1.2 million, Reynosa, Mexico, is the third largest Industrial city on the Texas-Mexico border. With workers, shoppers and tourists crossing the border on a daily basis, the economy is tightly integrated with McAllen, Texas. The border handles some 12 million people each year.
Proximity and ease of access to the U.S. market has made Reynosa a center for electronics and medical industry maquiladoras, the manufacturing and assembly plants that produce products for export from Mexico. Reynosa is an important and efficient logistics and distributions hub.
Reynosa is about 140 miles from the industrial center of Monterrey. With its dry port, Reynosa handles a large number of shipments that arrive by truck or rail.
