Guadalajara, Mexico Second City and Manufacturing Capital

Guadalajara, the second-largest metropolitan area in Mexico with a population of ~5 million, is the capital of the Free and Sovereign State of Jalisco, which ranks fourth among Mexican states in attracting foreign direct investment. 

The city's economy is driven by services, manufacturing, e-commerce and information technology.  The industrial sector accounts for nearly 40 percent of the city’s GDP.  Several IT companies are headquartered in the city and many of the largest U.S. industrial companies have operations in the Guadalajara region. 

Guadalajara is located about 330 miles from Mexico City and served by a strong network of highways that offer easy access to Mexico’s vast internal market. As a result, industrial properties and warehouses are a vital component of Guadalajara’s economic infrastructure.
